We have the pleasure to offer this rare AMC Javelin Trans-Am racer for sale.

The AMC Javelin is an American front-engine, rear-wheel-drive, two-door hardtop automobile manufactured by American Motors Corporation (AMC) across two generations, 1968–1970 and 1971–1974 model years. Racing AMC Javelin versions competed successfully in the Trans-Am Series with the Penske Racing/Mark Donohue team. The Javelin won the Trans-Am title in 1971, 1972, and 1976. Drivers included George Follmer and Mark Donohue.

Our car was bought in the USA as a regular street car by the current owner in 2011 and imported into Sweden. After having used the car on the road for some years, a complete rebuild project was started to convert the car to a Javelin Trans-Am racer as raced in-period by Mark Donohue.

The rebuild project took several years and was done by Swedish specialists Zetterman Engineering (bodywork), Lars Palmkvist (engine) and TS Motorsport (chassis and drive train). Special attention was given to making the car conform to its period Trans-Am specification so that a new, current FIA HTP could be obtained.

When the rebuild project was finished the FIA HTP application was started and finally received at the end of 2021. We believe it is the only Javelin Trans-Am racer in Europe with new, current FIA HTP papers which are valid until 2032. It also still has its street registration.

Due to some health issues, the current owner had to change his plans and has decided to sell the car which only has done about 2 hours of testing. So it is still very fresh and looks great.

Spares that come with the car are a  T10 gearbox, 4 x Avon rain wheels and 8x Avon dry wheels.

This AMC Javelin Trans-Am car is a striking and rare historic racer which is eligible for Peter Auto's HTC, FHR's HTGT and HEC, SVRA and HSR in U.S. etc. while also being eligible for today's historic rallies and road events.
